The third stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour has been cancelled. The reason was a massive crash in the queen stage involving nineteen riders. According to eyewitnesses, the crash was caused by two race motorbikes attempting to overtake the peloton via the bike path during the descent of La Redoute. In doing so, they crashed themselves and caused major chaos. The riders subsequently refused to continue racing.
