Stage 3 Sittard-Geleen - Watersley (149.3km)

The queen stage of the Tour of Holland takes place on Friday, as the riders tackle 157 kilometers through the rolling hills of Limburg. Whether big gaps will appear remains to be seen, since the toughest climbs come quite far from the finish.

The start is at the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park. From there, the peloton heads south toward Zuid-Limburg. After just 33 kilometers, the Keutenberg awaits, quickly followed by the Gulperberg.

Next comes the so-called “Volta NXT loop,” passing through towns such as Noorbeek, Mheer, and Sint Geertruid, with the Moerslag also on the menu. By then, the riders will already have covered more than seventy kilometers, with the Bemelerberg, Cauberg, and Geulhemmerberg still to follow.

Finally, it’s time to pick up speed again toward Sittard-Geleen, where a 17-kilometer local circuit will decide the stage. The key obstacles here are the Beukenberg (900 meters at 3.2%) and the Wanenberg (700 meters at 4.4%). The finish line is at Watersley.
