Stage 8 Périgueux - Bergerac (182.0km)
The sprinters who messed up their sprint in Bordeaux on Friday will immediately have a chance to redeem themselves on day eight of the Tour de France. On Saturday, the riders face an almost entirely flat 182-kilometer stage from Périgueux to Bergerac.
Saturday’s route is slightly more varied than Friday’s. In the first eighty kilometers, the riders head east toward Vézac, before continuing through the Dordogne Valley toward Bergerac.
The Tour has not finished in Bergerac very often. Miguel Indurain and Ramūnas Navardauskas have won here in the past, and Marcel Kittel was the last to do so, in 2017.
